The Old Wellborn Store in the Persimmon Community of Rabun County
It was built about 1924. Up until 1960 when the legislature passed a law requiring all merchants to keep a close accounting of sugar and mason jars sold, Persimmon was the center of moonshining in Northeast Georgia. Mike Maffett
