Built in 1840 (disputed). It is now closed (1999), but was at one time the oldest continuously operating country store in the state. The name comes from Jane Porter's novel, "Thaddeus of Warsaw." This now forgotten novel, published in 1803, was one of the first widely read works by a female author. Union calvary passed by here in the Atlanta Campaign. It is now a house.
