Old Family Picture

You had to walk past the old Catawba tree to get to the outhouse at the old Gurley place. The trees have long "beans" that grow on them. When they turned brown, Aunt Cleo would let us kids smoke them. She called them monkey cigars. We would get Catawba worms off the tree leaves for fishing. Dallas
