The Russell House Next to Winder

The house was built in 1912 by Richard Brevard Russell Sr and his wife. He went on to become Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court. In 1954, Senator Richard B Russell Jr. inherited the house upon his mother's death and he lived in it until his death in 1971.
