Baxter Knight
Located at Chickamauga National Military Park in Walker County. Work began on the tower in 1892 and do to various things that went wrong it wasn't completed until 1904. In 1915 the tower was struck by lightening and the top of the building as well as the staircase inside were damaged. The damage was repaired and today stands 85 feet tall. A spiral staircase begins at the base and leads to the top where most of the battlefield can be viewed.
