Ruff's Mill is located next to the Concord Covered Bridge and overlooks Nickajack Creek. It was built in the 1850’s. The Battle of Ruff’s Mill occurred on July 4, 1864 as Union troops advanced against the Confederate line during the Campaign for Atlanta. The mill is on both the National and Cobb County Register of Historic Places.
