Confederate Memorial Day

Today is recognized as Confederate Memorial Day here in Georgia. I proudly placed a new flag on the grave of my 5th Great Uncle, Thaddeus Ricketson, Pvt. 63rd Georgia Company K. He was the only one of the brothers to stay in South Georgia following the war. He started a sawmill operation and dabbled in the naval stores industry.
