Fireant Festival

I saw this sign in Ashburn / Turner County. Not sure if you allow signage on your page but I thought it was a great reminder of small town life.

Looks like we missed it this year but it does sound like fun..FREE ADMISSION TO THE FIRE ANT FESTIVAL!
​Held the fourth weekend of March, Ashburn welcomes the Fire Ant Festival, not the ants themselves. Known for its wacky and off the wall activities, the festival offers family oriented fun for all ages. Activities include the fire ant calling contest, the giant fire ant maze, carnival, arts and crafts, fireworks, bands, art contest, health fair, BBQ cook off, and much more!
