Siloam Presbyterian Church

It was originally constituted in 1894 as Hastings Church. Around 1900 it was dissolved and the members reconstituted it as Siloam Presbyterian Church. The church was completed in 1903 using pews from the old church which was in a different location. The church nearly burned down in 1929 when a Mrs. Rhodes came to the church and tried to start a fire in the new heater. Unfortunately she used gasoline by accident and it exploded. She fought the fire with her clothes and hands and eventually got the fire put out at the cost of her own life. The church survives today thanks to her.
