Established in 1861. The congregation survived the Civil War and in 1868 this sanctuary was built on land donated by Colonel John Boykin who owned Liberty Hill Plantation down the road. The country church has served it's community ever since, even allowing a farmer to store his hay and grain after his barn burned down. They still meet twice a month either in the church or in the activity center next door.
