The James Henry and Rachel Kilby House

Located on  Persimmon Road in Rabun County. It was constructed in 1898. Persimmon Road was connected to Betty's Creek Road by the CCC in the 1930's. It remains the only north-south road crossing the GA/NC line between Dillard and Hiawassee, a distance of 20 miles, one of the longest roadless areas between states in the East.
