Circa 1858. The small door to the left is direct access to the balcony used for a slave gallery until the freed slaves started a new church. It was constructed of wood from local forest. In 1952 an addition was made to include a kitchen, restrooms, social hall, and Sunday school rooms. Still used as a meeting place. Info found from National Register of Historic Places.

Been here before. As the crow flies this is less than 5 miles from where I live. :) This is a beautiful old structure. I hope it gets the TLC it needs to live on for many years to some. :)
