Glen Mary Plantation in Hancock County

Circa 1848. Built by Theopilus Jackson Smith for his wife Mary Gonder Smith, whom the plantation is named after. He was a member of the Planter class, a State Representative and State Senator, The misfortunes of war forced him to sell the plantation in 1870. The plantation has been restored and is available for tours. Read the full history here.
