Old Chattahoochee Valley Railway Caboose in West Point

The railroad was owned by West Point Manufacturing to serve their cotton mills in West Point and in Alabama. The first 10 miles was opened in 1897 and by 1920 had 45 miles of line. After the depression and the war, business steadily declined until the railroad was abandoned in 1991. The railroads depot's and engine terminal was/is in West Point.
