Deepstep United Methodist Church

It has its roots all the way back to 1805 when a Methodist Society was founded by a man named William Hicklin at his home. Land was deeded from his estate in 1831 and a log meeting house was built. A wood frame church replaced it in the first years after the Civil War. The structure here was built in 1901.
