Big Springs United Methodist Church

It was founded in 1828, two years after Troup County was established. The first church was on land given by Young Hall, owner of the plantation on which the original Church was built. In 1840 a church was built on the present site and replaced by the present structure in 1861, built with donations of money, material and time. The church is still active and in it's original structure despite a small fire and a tornado that damaged the roof.
