Jackson County Home

This is a house in Jackson County that was built between 1915 & 1917. From 1930 to 1954, it was the Hillcrest/Allen Clinic and Hospital. It is a two-story, brick Neoclassical house with a wrap-around one-story porch and a two-story front portico. Until the depression, it was a 2000 acre farm that produced corn, cotton and other products. It had a servant's quarters, commissary, garage and barn; some of which dated back to the mid-1800s.
