Old Barn in Lincolnton

Lincolnton is the county seat of Lincoln County and home to one of the oldest stunt pilots in the United States.
Gary Ward was born in Lincoln County and developed an interest in airplanes as an early teenager. He soloed at age 16 and has been passionate about aviation ever since. He didn’t fly his first airshow until 1998, but has flown in over 200 airshows since. He is 74 years old, has a need for speed, and has no plans on stopping anytime soon. The sign on the barn says Ward Aviation, elev 480 ft. It appears that there is a grass runway behind the barn.
