The Compton-Fowler-McKnight Cottage

 It maybe the oldest home in Milledgeville. Built in the New England Folk style around 1815, it's certainly in the running as the oldest. At one time the house was reportedly slave quarters for those tending to a large plantation known as "the Cedars" and may have been located on Penitentiary Square which is now the front of GCSU.
