It was built in the 1890's by an investment company. In it's early days Bill Dukes had an ox cart that met every train thru town on the A&WP and delivered bags to the hotel. He also would walk the porch and ring the dinner bell shouting "Dinner is served". Today the hotel is now a B&B with many of the original Victorian Era woodwork intact.
