A some 200 years later this old building still stands tucked back off on an old plantation In Thomas County out of public view to many. I’ve passed this property many of days chasing trains or just driving back and forth to Thomasville and always have my eyes drawn to it because of this building. Today I saw some people out there working and stopped to ask if I could get a few shots and not only received permission to do so but a history lesson on it. Back in the days of slavery it was built as a slave house estimated in the early to mid 1800s and was used as such until slavery was abolished. Afterwards it was used as a house for homeless employees of the plantation which was former slaves.
