Dunn's Chapel Methodist Church in Leah
It got its start sometime before 1850, most likely around 1838 as records are sketchy and incomplete. It is know that a group of families began worshipping in a school house called Citizens Academy. A young man named John Dunn inspired the older members to erect a church. His father, William Dunne donated the land the church has occupied since. John was said to be the first to preach in and served it for a time before moving on. The church is still active today but that's about all that is readily available. I'm not sure the main part of the sanctuary is original to pre 1850, but the architecture may be accurate. Its bones almost certainly pre-date 1900.
