The Barron-Blair House in Clinton

It was built between 1810-1820 by Captain John Mitchell, a Clinton Commissioner. It was added to by attorney James Smith before being purchased by Dr. Horacio Bowen in 1845. Dr. Bowen was the leading physician in the area as well as a planter and one of the largest wine producers in the state. The home was later purchased by Judge Barron.
