Smith Chapel Methodist Church near Bowdon

 It was founded in 1851 as Mount Pleasant by Rev. John Thurman who had previously preached in Marthasville. In 1892 he was replaced by Seaborn Smith and the church was renamed Smith Chapel. In 1896 this church was dedicated.
