It was established in 1733. It is the oldest continuous worshipping Lutheran Church in America. It is in Effingham County near the City of Rincon.
This church building was made from bricks from area clay around 1769. The church walls are 21 inches thick and some of the original panes of glass are still in the windows. The bells were transported from Europe and are still rung before each service.
