Comercial Buildings in Atlanta
The 2 brick buildings are typical examples of the type of commercial buildings erected in Atlanta in the first decades of the 20th century. What you don't see on the near end is 152 Nassau Street, where Okeh Records was in 1923. This is where John Carson recorded the first hit song in the genre that came to be known as country music. The building was torn down a few weeks ago, and will be replaced by a 21-story Margaritaville-themed hotel.
