The Empire Mills Complex

It was built in Madison (Morgan County) in 1913 by the Empire Cotton Oil Company of Atlanta. It originally included a cotton gin, oil mill and livery stable. The complex sat abandoned for many years until 2012, when a local caterer restored the site to house the catering business, and turned the remainder of the complex into a rustic wedding venue. .
