Newborn United Methodist Church in Newton County

 It was formed ca. 1817. The property was purchased in 1820 and a log cabin erected near the present day site. The current building is the third structure and was built in 1903.
On a personal note, the pastor I worked with while in seminary, and who married me and my wife, was pastor of this church when he first graduated from seminary - probably in the early to mid 60s.
