Old House in Augusta

"The house was built in the 1770’s in Augusta, GA by Major William Skinner (the house was located on Skinner Mill Road, named after Major William Skinner). The house was deconstructed a few years ago as it went into major disrepair.

Major Skinner fought in the revolutionary war and was a highly decorated officer. He was given land grants for his service. In 1791 President Washington came through Georgia and had breakfast with Major Skinner, May 17th 1791 while on his Southern tour."
