The Big Red Apple in Cornelia
The information is on a plaque at the depot. The Apple was a donation from the Southern Railway who shipped a lot of Apples from Cornelia and off the Tallulah Falls Railway. It was molded in Winchester Virginia and shipped to Cornelia. it was dedicated at unveiling ceremony in 1926. The first Apple Blossom Princess was Silvia Lewis Fort (Fraser) and she pulled the ripcord to unveil the statue. Andy Sarge
