Jekyll Island Resort Club

This is the well photographed Jekyll Island Resort Club that opened in January 1888. It is on Jekyll Island which was purchased by the Jekyll Island Club in 1886. In 1879, the island was a private hunting club for the wealthy, and the very first brewery was operated on the island in 1747.
