Whitehall in Athens

Originally constructed in 1830, it was one of the state's first and most productive cotton mills. In 1892 a fire destroyed the original site (though the mill run remains visible) and the current buildings were constructed. The mill continued to operate until 1988. In 2005 the structure was converted to loft apartments, retaining much of the original mill hardware both inside and out. I'm pleased to say I live here.
