This post is a full blown railroad post but forgotten at that, while the one on the left is in operation the one on the right has a sad fate. I can’t remember the exact heritage of the locomotive but the steam locomotive now marked Southern 9 was left abandoned years before Norfolk Southern gave the line up to A&G in the 90s, for sometime it was left in the open to rust behind a warehouse in Camilla (Mitchell County) . After some time the city got a hold of the old steam engine and put it under shelter, not much has been done to it since. Occasionally the Georgia & Florida Railway pass by on the way to work West Camilla and pass many post worthy buildings on this site but none more than the locomotive, with current times it’s doubtful that the city will ever make any type of effort to restore the old locomotive even with a sponsor backing it.
