Bethel Baptist Church of Forsyth County
It was established in 1836 with 11 members meeting at the Armstrong Meeting House. In 1841 they were incorporated by the state legislature. In 1842, they had a member ship of 92 members and bought 2 1/2 acres for a church which was completed in the same year. Additional land was later purchased for a cemetery. At some point in the 1870s they had decided to build a new church but nothing was done until they bought land across the road. The new church which is the current structure was constructed in the early 1900s.
