Floyd Chapel Baptist Church

 It was originally established in Stockbridge in the early 1800s, as one of the few places African-Americans could worship safely. The church relocated to this site in 1878. Martin Luther King Sr preached his first sermon here at the age of 15. The current sanctuary dates from 1949, using the same blocks from the late 1920s structure it replaced.
