The Mechanicsville School House in Gwinnett County

 Circa 1911 and operated for 28 years before the county began consolidating schools. Mechanicsville is an all but forgotten community that at one time comprised an area that would be mostly claimed by Norcross and Peachtree Corners. Named after the trade that lived there and worked in the various industries that were in the region along Buford Highway. Most of the old farms and early homes have been bulldozed for new home, apartmants and businesses. Recently it was or is a meeting hall for Quakers,
