Dixie Mill in LaGrange
This is the office at the former Dixie Mill in LaGrange. The mill was built around 1895 with multiple local and northern interests. It is a well built structure but the equipment they had was old and worn out. Otis Dunson, John Barnard and Fuller Callaway Sr. Stepped in and bought the mill. Callaway used his life savings to re-equip it. They made it profitable but sold it to West Point Manufacturing in 1933. It continued to operate until 1985 and re-opened partially in 1988 before closing for good in 2004. It looks like it has been taken over and is going to be converted into something.
