Ludville Unity Christian Church in Pickens County

It was organized in 1877 by Booker Gravely. The Gravelys were Unionist during the civil and a couple of his sons fought for  a Union Regiment from Tennessee. After the war, the Gravelys along with another family's sons figured in the Scared Corn- Ryo murders in 1865. North Georgia had a significant amount of Unionists (Feds) during the war and although they were out numbered by Johnny Rebs, both flags flew from the county courthouse for a good bit of the war. This spilled over after the war with bad blood between some of the families. Anyway, back to the church. The members met in a log house for several years and built this church sometime in the 1890s. The church has been completely rebuilt and is still active.
