The Historic Crown Mill in Dalton

 The first building of the Cotton Mill was constructed 1884-1885. Other buildings were constructed thru the 1890s and early 1900s. The original building is pictured. As was custom of the textile mills in the south a company store and mill village was constructed next to the mill. The Crown Mill finally stopped production for good in the 1990s and has been converted to loft apartments and a wedding venue.
