Chief Vann House

Outside of Chatsworth, this home was built in 1804 out of locally made brick. It has handcarved rounded and cornerstone bricks in it. Belonged to a Cherokee Indian Chief. That's right! Most folks always believed that the Indians lived in teepees but the Cherokee lived in houses built of wood, or in the elaborate cases, brick.
