This is in Charlton County, a few miles south of Folkston. The road we are looking across is the one going to Trader's Hill (Fort Alert). While I was reading and photographing all the markers at that intersection, an old farmer rode up on a tractor and was giving me some information. On the space in the pic was the first Masonic Lodge in Charlton County, begun in 1854. It has been moved twice. according to him, the original structure was moved to Folkston. I was wondering, if anyone had any pics of the original house that they would share or know where it sits now?
