Old Depot in Toomsboro
The former Central of Georgia depot built in 1869 now stands vacant in Toomsboro. In this photo taken one year ago today (09/26/2015). The depot sits along the route of the old Nancy Hanks passenger train though I am not certain if it ever served passengers to the Nancy Hanks.
The locomotive in the photo is Southern Railroad #4501 and being operated by the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum on Norfolk Southern's "Nancy Hanks Special" steam excursion that ran between Macon and Tennille last fall.
