Valdosta

This is a long forgotten old brick road in downtown Valdosta. This road used to be called Crane Avenue, running beside Strickland Hardware (the building pictured in the left of the photo) and is one of only a few remaining hints that there were brick streets in Valdosta. The James Beck Overpass (the hill pictured in the photo) cut through half of the Strickland hardware building & killed Crane Avenue when it was constructed in the early 1980's. This small strip of brick is the only remaining evidence that it ever existed!
