This marker reads "Jefferson Davis Highway

and sits in front of Agnes Scott College in Decatur on College Ave. at the intersection with South McDonough St.
There is another marker located not far away, at East Lake Dr and Ponce DE Leon Ave....
The two roads do not connect, but they must have as one can see the fragment of a road just off East Lake Dr. and angling in the direction of College Ave. I have been unable to find anything precise more about The Jeff Davis Highway.
I also believe this may have been part of the Dixie Highway as I have read of N. Avondale Rd heading out to Stone Mountain as part of the Dixie Hwy., and College Ave becomes N.Avondale.
